As you probably know by now, KKCL is hiring new and enthusiastic Activity Leaders for our Summer School 2017 in London, and, as part of our recruiting process we attend events in many prestigious universities to select the best students to work with us.
So far, it has been a fantastic journey and we have met some great candidates that have not only been invited for interviews, but many of whom have already been hired!
Yesterday, for example, we found ourselves at the impressive Brunel University, famous for its sports department, and what a surprise when their cameras came to interview our Head of Activities, Gabriel Currington!
Together, they discussed tips for students looking for a summer job and various interview-related questions such as the common mistakes candidates make during an interview, how to avoid them, and how to get prepared for the interview process.
When he was asked what are the key points that KKCL is looking for in their employees, Gabriel had no doubt about the answer: INTEGRITY, RELIABILITY & PUNCTUALITY!
In fact, this job can be fun and flexible, it is appealing for creative and energetic people, but you have always to keep in mind that KKCL is looking for responsible people that will be in charge of the safety of the students particularly as some could be as young as 10 years old. The school provides full training and constant assistance from the management team to solve any issues that might occur. The role of Activity Leader is then of crucial importance, similar to a skipper of a yacht.
The full interview will be available on the Brunel University website shortly.
We still have vacancies open at KKCL, so if you feel thrilled by idea of being an Activity Leader yourself, then we would love to hear from you: please go to our website for more information and a full job description and do please send us your CV!
