KKCL English is proud to offer a new opportunity for our students to experience another European city. The Paris adventure our students had is a fine example of this opportunity in motion…
Students and group leaders recently benefitted from the chance to apply what was acquired at KKCL English to one of the coolest, most visually stunning and culturally stimulating capitals in the world. Indeed, Paris is often referred to as ‘the capital of London’, a reference to our inseparable linguistic and cultural histories. KKCL students engaged with Parisian communities and customs, using the English Language constantly throughout as their tool.
The advantage of all of this is in taking one’s English capabilities to the international stage, thereby boosting linguistic confidence dramatically. This is the proverbial proof in the pudding; students acquire the tools necessary at KKCL, before becoming fully-fledged linguistic explorers of another famous European city.
The uniqueness of the opportunity is that it is tailor-made to the respective groups who choose to pursue it – some will explore la belle vie de Paris, whilst others may wish to the explore fashion icons and social histories of Berlin, or even party at a traditional fiesta in Madrid. Regardless of what our students choose, we are able to guarantee a fantastic experience of ‘living English’ in another city.
In Paris, our students explored the royal realm of Louis XIV at Versailles Palace, a beautiful setting steeped in a history of aristocracy, revolution, gold, blood and architectural splendor. KKCL students took great pleasure in discovering the dark and light secrets of France’s monarchical past, inspired by the ornate beauty of Versailles Palace with the captivating tales of France’s political history. KKCL’s group and activity leaders ensured that the students were engaged where the English Language is concerned, too. Using their English toolkit in a thriving foreign city allows our students to put their ‘textbook knowledge’ into practical and exciting use.
Other Parisian trésors that KKCL students explored included the Eiffel Tower, the banks of the Seine, the Palais de Justice, Bastille, Notre Dame, the Arc de Triomphe, Sacre Coeur and Montmartre, La Sorbonne and a host of other French landmarks and museums of which the students and group leaders were in awe.
The culinary delights of France were also greatly enjoyed – KKCL students were able to refine their palates through exploring the rich and varied flavours of Paris as a food capital (or even just tasting a ‘real’ steak and chips…).
The sensory experience of Paris was vital in allowing our students to absorb a new, foreign capital where English is a key language. Other cities on the KKCL European Cities menu include Milan, Rome, Prague, Budapest, Berlin, Madrid and Dublin. We are currently enrolling students and group leaders from across the world to experience this unrivaled English Language learning experience.
